With a slogan of “Quality That’s Built To Last”, Iseki manufacture tractors and compact tractors for commercial operators as well as private users. Iseki pride themselves in high performance, reliability, and superior operating comfort. A little blue Iseki is a familiar sight across Britain’s farms and smallholdings. But what is their history, and what are they up to now?

Back in the Day

The Iseki Farm Implement Trading Co. was founded in Matsuyama, Ehime, Japan, in the summer of 1926, by Kunisaburo Iseki. Ten years later, they incorporated the company under the more succinct Iseki & Co. Ltd, as well as beginning the production of rice hullers and automatic rice graders.

1961 was an important year for Iseki, as this was when they first entered onto the Tokyo Stock Exchange, but also when they started building tractors. Early models were built under Porsche-Diesel’s technology and design transfer contract, so their tractors were and still are sold worldwide under other brands such as AGCO, Bolens, Challenger, Massey Ferguson and White. Some models sold in Japan have also been built by Landini in Italy, as well as by Massey Ferguson in France.

In 1967, Iseki diversified their range even further, beginning manufacture of rice-transplanters, combine harvesters, and created mechanised integrated systems for rice farming, using these machines and the tractors. Four years down the line saw the establishment of N.V. Iseki Europe S.A. in Brussels. Throughout the years, Iseki has grown to be one of the largest compact tractor manufacturers in the world.

Today’s Tractors

Today, Iseki has dealers across the globe, with a great range of compact to mid-range tractors.

  • The TG range is compact but still has a higher horse power of 36-65hp, and all of the accessories and options of higher specification tractors. It can easily be paired with just about any of the heavier duty attachments available from us.
  • The TLE is the premium economy line ranging from 40-55hp, with easy to use controls, but still with high horse power.
  • The TH range is mid-sized 35-40hp, but lightweight, despite its exceptional lift capacity.
  • The same is true of the TM range, though this tractor is compact, with a lower horse power of 16-25hp.
  • The smallest range of Iseki tractors is the TXGS 23hp model, but despite its size, it still packs a punch. This is more of a lawn tractor, designed for under deck mowing.

Iseki have also come out with an electric transporter vehicle, namely the Addax line. This comes with a range of options, such as a tipper, flatbed, and an enclosed bed for delivery companies. It has all the mod cons of a car but is 100% electric and silent. We are sure they will come up with even more innovations in the future.
