Our Day at Surrey Game & Country Fair
The sun was shining for us on Sunday as we prepared for a busy day on the stand at the Surrey Game and Country Fair held at Loseley Park. The main arena was a crowd pleaser with a spectacular horse stunt show, fantastic falconry and tremendous Terrior racing.
A Day at the Fair
We were thrilled to spend the day in the picturesque grounds of Loseley Park. The grade I listed house was built in the 16th century and proved to be the perfect backdrop to our stand. We even spotted a few tractors around the estate working on the grounds!
Although the show was based on the main lawns outside the house, there was much more to explore. The grounds offer a 2.5 acre Walled Garden for visitors to admire alongside the picturesque Tithe Barn. You can keep up to date with their calendar of events here.
Congratulations to our Winner!
Also a big congratulations to 4 year old Jack from Ash in Surrey, now the proud owner of this Massey Ferguson pedal tractor. Jack was the only entrant out of the 226 on the day to guess the correct number of balloons in our Balloon Countdown competition.
Dad Mark got in contact after the show and said:
“Jack is really pleased with it and has been playing outside with it since he got it, filling up the trailer with “logs”, and driving round the garden. He even wanted to wear his new hi-vis vest to school.
Jack (and us) would like to say a massive thank you to all at Farm Tech for his new toy. He really is over the moon with it and is a very happy little boy.”
Thank you to all who entered our competition, we enjoyed running it so much that I think another will definitely be on the cards for our next show. We are already thinking up some new ideas for a competition this Autumn/Winter.
We had a flow of entrants throughout the day and at one point even a queue formed at the front of the stand to enter! We caught a quick snap of just a couple of the eager participants at our stand.
The FTS Stand
We were in a prime position by the vintage tractors and cars with Loseley house behind us. But I think our new Foton tractor was definitely a show stopper as we had many visitors admiring throughout the day both young and old. The 254F tractor is 28hp with 4wd, perfect for estates, sports fields and equestrian use. The affordable compact tractor is also functional with a flat floor design and an engine which is easy to access or work on.
We also were displaying our Foton show package, where the compact tractor and all attachments on the stand were included at a super low price (much to the dismay of our accountant!). Remember the show package is available for a limited time only so catch it while you can! For more information contact us here.
But don’t forget our attachments also are suited to the not-so-new and classic tractors, kindly displayed by our neighbours on the Friends of Ferguson Heritage stand.
The Main Ring Entertainment
We were very fortunate to be pitched up opposite the main arena, here are just a few photos we captured including the donkey rides, logging, horse stunt show and more!
