Our Latest Editorial: Harrowing
One of our latest blog posts can be spotted in the March issue of Country Smallholding magazine. Pick up a copy of the latest publication in your local newsagents, perfect with a mug of tea after a busy day.
Alongside our Five Reasons to Harrow advice column the March issue has some handy advice for setting up your first smallholding and tips for the everyday jobs.
This month features include how to begin the process of buying your perfect property and acreage, a good place to start if you are thinking of getting your first plot of land and are looking for a few tips to get you on your way.
There is also a feature on the recent extreme weather. With the frequent and heavy rain we have barely been able to walk in the garden let alone get out on the tractor, but for a smallholding getting out in the fields everyday is vital for livestock and general maintenance and the magazine covers this with a number of weather proofing techniques.
Also a handy feature on choosing goats! We have a friendly herd of Jacob sheep and alpacas at the moment but are very keen on expanding to goats so a great lunchtime read in the office.
