Our Favourite Pub Walks

Nidd Gorge, North Yorkshire, Carriages

It takes 3 and half hours to complete this marvellous trail. Autumn in particular is a great time to witness one of the countries greatest natural pub walks. End the experience with a sense of quality in the wine bar Carriages

Llyn y Fan Fach, Brecon Beacons, The Tanners Arms

Translated to ‘Lake of the small beacon-hill’ this is a firm favourite for pub walkers. Looping hill paths, beautiful summits and panoramic views are all on offer with this unique trail. Due to the remoteness of the walk a short drive to the pub The Tanners Arms is required but it is more than worth it.

Lingmoor Fell, Lake District, The Brittania Inn

The iconic lake district offers extraordinary views which cannot be found elsewhere in the UK. The trail in question is an old quarry path which takes around 3 hours to complete. To top it off the Brittania Inn situated on the walk is warm and welcoming with a wide selection of ales and food.

The Quantocks, Somerset, The Carew Arms

Oak woodland and vast moorland are the main features in this lingering walk. It is also one of the few trails which is just as picturesque in the dark, particularly on a moonlight night. The Carew Arms is situated nearby and is perfect for any weary traveller seeking comfort in a nice meal and drink.

Chillbolton, Hampshire, The Mayfly

With a cosy riverside terrace, it is easy to see why The Mayfly has made it to our list. Although there isn’t a designated walk with this pub it is perched right beside the famous river Test, known for its trout. The river provides wondrous views for anyone to walk beside.
